Loved the location and the fireplaces but had to wait a long time for food
The guests lounge was fantastic. Breakfast was great. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful
We ordered food from the pub and it took 1.5 hours to arrive. We had to check three times and were told to keep waiting, and found out later the meals had been forgotten. It also wasn’t very clear what food options were available when and from where. The cocktail we ordered from the guests lounge wasn’t very nice but the bar tender was very friendly.

Overall a good stay, but more enthusiastic reception staff
The breakfast was wonderful. The owner was lovely when we had issues with out heater and sharp edge of shower which my daughter cut herself on. Reception staff were unenthusiastic and didn’t give out all info needed to access facilities. Except for one woman on staff on Saturday evening who was genuine, helpful and efficient.
Half hearted attitude of reception staff who seemed uninterested in fixing our broken heater or explaining how to access the gym.
